RIP Christopher Wallace/Notorious B.I.G.

Today is the 13th Anniversary of the shooting of Christopher Wallace aka Biggie Smalls aka Notorious B.I.G.

I was not the ULTIMATE Biggie fan, but I can admit that his flow and style certainly changed the game for rap in the 90’s. In addition, his collabs with Junior M.A.F.I.A and his hand in the launch of Lil Kim definitely made the hood a better place to be on a hot summer day. I remember waiting for the next Bad Boy/Biggie song to drop. The songs were always a good way to start a party. I remember one of my English teachers using lyrics from Biggie’s album to teach us about poetry, specifically alliteration. That’s quite an impact to have on a generation!

It’s so sad that a man of his talent was gunned down and the killer has not been found. My heart goes out to his family.
