I just love the ladies of Kid Electric Concerts! They continue to bring quality entertainment to the ‘Ville and it always has a purpose. This month Kid Electric Concerts presents the D’Angelo Tribute. The proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nashville. LOVELY!
It has been 15 years since R&B crooner, D’Angelo, released his debut album, Brown Sugar. I was about 15 years old (WOW) but I remember singing his songs while my mom made me clean the house, lol. D’Angelo helped usher in a whole generation of good music that focused on lyrics and musicianship. Rumors suggest that he may release a new project in the fall; I’ve got my fingers crossed.
But for now we can enjoy Nashville’s finest singers and musicians as they pay tribute to this phenomenal album. Come out to the Rutledge, April 16, 201o. Doors open at 8pm and the cost is $10 (at the door).
