Summer 101: Old Navy Flip-Flops have died

Remember when I told you Capri Pants Died, well I have another death to report. Old Navy Flip Flops are gone. Yup. I know these convenient shoes are only 1.50. I know Old Navy Flip Flops come in a variety of exciting colors. I know that Old Navy Flip Flops are easy to carry, especially when you have to slip out of a pair of high heeled pumps. But ladies, these basic footwear folies have got to be shifted to the tweens and children of your life. I can’t even give you a pass to wear these on the beach.
I know you are wondering, “What shall I wear?” Well, I’m not banning thong sandals (the proper name for flip-flops) altogether, but I’m asking you to step your game up. Take a look at the flip-flop selections I chose below. Cute bow and rose accents, leather or cloth straps, and designer details help you bring style to these simple summer staples.
You can go expensive (Valentino sandals on the top left) or you can go cheap chic (Mossimo slides by Target, lower right). So, don’t get stuck in the Old Navy rut; cheape rubber flip-flops that get dirty as soon as you take one step outside. Choose to step your game up.
