O’More Design Week is the premier event held each May by O’More College of Design in Historic Franklin, Tenn. It offers design professionals, design businesses, and the public an inspirational look into what the College is all about. Programming includes professional student shows for Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Interior Design, and Visual Communications.
The Eloise Student Fashion Show is one of my favorte fashion shows in Middle Tennessee. To see the talent that is available in Middle Tennessee always astounds me. Each year students from the Junior and Senior class present 8-10 looks from their 100% handmade collections. The amount of detail used with each piece is mind-blowing and show true creativity and talent.
This year, the affair will also offer an exclusive first-look at a special partnership between seven student designers, 10 Haitian women and one local non-profit. The “Designing for a Cause” class partnered with DAR Project this semester to produce a Spring 2014 children’s clothing line that will give hope to Haitian women in extreme need. The resulting “aDARable” Spring 2014 children’s label will premiere during the fashion show. Read the complete story about this partnership here.
The show will be held in Liberty Hall at The Factory in Franklin, Tenn. Seating will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m. To learn more about last year’s show, click here.
Tickets for the general public are $35 and are available online here.
