#OOTD: Springtime Layers featuring trendy pastels

Listen, listen, listen, I’m so ready for the weather to get it’s mind right. Clearly, mother nature likes to play games as she gives us two awesome 65 degree days, then a week’s worth of dismal winter ridiculousness. Sheesh! However, as we get more of those awesome days, you’ll realize it’s time to transition to your spring wardrobe. Just like transitioning for the fall, transitioning for spring is all about LAYERS.

Luckily the trend for spring 2014 is all about muted tones and pastels. Remember when neon was the rage? Nope, let’s take it to the muted colors and gentle fabrics – mint, lilac, bone, sky-blue, and beige.  The look above showcases some staple items for you spring wardrobe: crispy white cotton t-shirts, denim skinnies, and flat booties.

Believe it or not, spring leads to summer, and the cold weather will pass. So enjoy these cooler temperatures in style, until the crazy heat begins.
