MY STYLE: Spring trends, winter style

This week has been one of the coldest in recorded history. It’s hard to fathom that spring is around the corner. If you are like me, when I shop, i want to wear my clothes immediately. I hate waiting. But, we all know it makes no sense to look like a whole fool wearing out-of season fashions. Unless, you get creative!

STYLE: Too old for the trends?

How do you do fellow kids?!” LOL! Do you ever feel weird when you see a style or trend that some would call ‘young’?

Lets talk about aging and getting dressed. As a woman past 30, I’m always conflicted about dressing ‘my age’. I’ve always skewed young, most people pointing out that I don’t look my age. Even when I was in my 20’s my face has read younger. Also, I’ve always worked in youth development, so it makes sense for me to be up with the young people. MY STYLE: New Job – New Look

Oh did you hear? I got a new job! And it’s at my alma-mater, Tennessee State University. I’m so excited to return to the place that set my foundation. But, with any new endeavor, I’m always thinking about my style. I’m always ready to change it up to give myself a new VIBE!

STYLE: Fall Fashion for Warm Climates

Today is the First Day of Fall! Listen, I love all the seasons, but FALL is BAE! It’s the perfect mix of warm days, cool nights, beautiful scenery, and excited events. Dressing for Fall might be my most favorite sport! The layers, oh the wonderful layers!

But, when it comes to Fall Fashion in the south, I’ve learned a couple tricks and taken lots of photos. Leave your thick sweaters and over the knee boots in the closet for a few more weeks.
