It’s Day 2 of Nashville Curves week and it’s time to meet Nashville’s newest blogger, CaNesha! I met CaNesha when she cornered me at a Blogger Exchange event. This vivacious vixen had MANY things to say about the characters in my book, Jack and Ahlia! From that point, we’ve become fast friends and solid supporters of our shared creative endeavors. As a fellow member of the #Young40’s club, CaNesha is dedicated to living her BEST life no matter what anyone has to say! I’m so excited to introduce CaNesha as the newest member of Nashville Curves, Class of 2018!
It’s Nashville Curves Week and we are starting with the wonderful BRYNN!
Brynn is a non-profit educator living and working in Nashville. I met Brynn when we shot with fellow Nashville Curves Alum, Amber, and we shot the All That Glitters hair campaign for Bespoke Curry. Brynn has a sparkling personality and she’s just gorgeous. Below, read her profile and learn why being plus-size has changed her worldview!

Welcome back! It’s Detox Review time!
First up, thank you for following me on this journey! I’ve gained so many new readers and fans in the blog, my instagram, and my Facebook page. Also, I appreciate when you email and send me messages about starting your own detoxes! If I encourage just ONE person to be a bit healthier, then I’ve done my job. After all, it was one person who inspired me to start again too.
How’s the detox going?
I know this title is a bit awkward but I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. This is, like, my 12th year blogging. I’ve had some HUGE successes and I’ve had plenty valleys. I’ve always called myself a fashion blogger, but I’ve often been asked why don’t I concentrate my efforts on being a PLUS- SIZE BLOGGER. And, that always gets me to thinking about the importance or non-importance of niche blogging.
Hey guys! Join me and Curves With Purpose on Wednesday, June 27th at The Mall in Green Hills for #InspirationalHappyHour! The Curves With Purpose team invited me to come shop and chat on Facebook & Instgram live. I’ll be discussing my favorite things: How I wrote my book, Jack and Ahlia, plus-size style, and confidence!
If you didn’t know, Curves With Purpose, is part online shopping destination with a generous dash of curvy confidence! The team, based in Nashville, is working hard to give shoppers a variety of brands to wear, while hosting pop-up shops, Girls Nights Out, and motivational posts on their social media channels. Their new initiative, the Inspirational Happy Hour, is a spin on shopping and adding a bit of motivation too! Learn about your fave plus-size influencers with this new endeavor!
It’s June! My favorite month of the year! Why? It’s my birthday month! This month I’m exploring the art of asking for help. It’s truly an art to figure out the things you NEED then researching places/people to ask for help. You may get rejected, but at least you tried. This is not about begging, this is about strategic moves to improve your life outcomes. It’s scary, but worth it. Continue reading “Hello June: The Art of Asking for Help”
As a plus-sized woman and BLOGGER, I always feel pressure to talk about my weight. Either we should be talking about losing weight or talking about how happy we are to be big. What if you are stuck in the middle: a little bit happy, a little bit scared, and a little bit over-it in general? That’s me. Continue reading MY LIFE: Scared to start again
