Nashville is finally experiencing a solid winter and it’s time to rock those stylish sweaters. Being plus-sized it’s easy to let a thick sweater overwhelm you frame. Below, I show you sever sweater styles that flatter all frames and give supreme style. Of course, click the links in the description for shopping details.
The first look is a twist on the classic sweater dress. This Cable Sweater Dress from Jessica London is lightweight but keeps you extra warm. I matched it with a thin belt, animal print bag and white boots allow me to rock this look for brunch, work, or shopping with the girls. Oh yeah, berets are my THING! Adding a chic beret to your look ups the level style with ease.
This look is one of my winter faves and especially stylish for winter in the south. You wake up and its 23 degrees – then by the time you go to lunch it’s 55 degrees. Rocking some wonderful layers helps get me through the day. This Ribbed Pullover Sweater and wool-blend coat keep me super warm. I ordered this sweater a size up for the slouchy look; I was super pleased. Sometimes sizing up gives you more length, not bulk. It’s a good look for plus-size women.
This last look is a play on shapes with a throwback to the early 2000’s flair. This plaid poncho from Chic Soul is super soft and stylish. Another great layering piece since you can wear a thin t-shirt to keep you comfy. Sometimes, plus-size women use ponchos to COVER-UP wait, but rocking a pair of fitted jeans and a nice boot actually keeps you more proportioned.
Which sweater look was your fave? Do you rock sweaters during the cold winter months? Let’s discuss in the comment section!
