CELEB Style Round-Up: 83rd Annual Academy Awards – Best Dressed 2011

The 83rd Annual Academy awards aired tonight. Did your favorite movie/actor/actress win one of those coveted golden statues? Well, even if your favorite didn’t win, you know everyone watching the Oscars is all about the clothes. Now, I have to say, there weren’t too many standouts. Hair and make-up designs weren’t too creative either; too many bare faces and bed-head styles. There definitely could have been more faves if they added better hair, make-up, and accessories.
But . . . let’s get to my favorite celebs wearing some great looks:
Anne Hathaway arrived on the carpet in this stunning strapless red Valentino gown with cinched ‘pick-up’ details on the skirt.

Now, I’m not feeling her hair color (I like my Anne as a dark brunette) but she looks good nonetheless.

Anne Hathaway had seven costume changes during the Oscar ceremony. This electric blue ensemble was my favorite.
Camilla Alves wore this full-skirted, halter gown by Kaufmanfranco. She looks GORGEOUS and totally regal. I love it.

Celine Dion was off baby duty today. She arrived on the red carpet in this Armani Prive gown. I love the cut and fit of this dress; it’s sexy yet sophisticated.

Hailee Steinfeld, from the movie True Grit, arrived on the carpet in a Marchesa cocktail style gown. Now, this is how you do glamorous and age appropriate. Her stylist pulled her one sophisticated step past prom but not to far into grown-up territory.

Halle Berry in this taupe Marchesa dress with sparkling embellishments. She wore this dress! Halle hasn’t looked this good, at an awards show, in a long time.

Actress, Helen Mirren, arrived in this silver Vivienne Westwood creation. Can we say, FAB-U-LOUS!? She’s been in the game for a long time, and she knows a great dress.
