|Tyra Banks and Rob Evans for America’s Next Top Model|
Honestly, I haven’t been excited or entertained by America’s Next Top Model in many a season. I guess my sentiments are shared by lots of fans so Tyra Banks, the business woman/mogul/model, decided to get our tongues talking again.
Early this year the show announced that it would ‘clean house’. ANTM said goodbye to former judges Nigel and Andre Leon Talley and added new judges: Model, Rob Evans, and fashion phenom, Kelly Cutrone. Both will add another level of professional criticism, model development, and creativity to the show.
Kelly Cutrone is a fashion PR pro and well-known to launch many careers (behind and in front of the camera). Not one to hold her tongue, she’ll be just what the show needs to boost ratings and bring some edge. Rob Evans is one of the most successful male models in the industry. He’s represented by modeling agencies in five countries! He’s gonna be great at giving that ‘real-world’ modeling advice to the contestants.

Oh, not only did Tyra get rid of the judges, she changed the styling team as well.
Taking Jay Manuel’s spot will be celebrity stylist, Johnny Wujek. Wujek, a former model, is well known for his work with Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj and will serve as the girl’s photo-shoot mentor. The show will add a social media component as viewers get to help contestants stay or go. The social media corespondent is Fashion Blogger/Social Media Maven BryanBoy. BryanBoy was once a fashion blogger (like myself) and rose through the fashion scene with his awesome blog, cool personality, and eye for trend.
So, I will be setting my DVR for the August 24 premiere of the show. This new staff line-up seems like a good fit for the new world of fashion. Fashion is no longer reserved for runways and glossy magazines. It’s a place where names become brands and your fate is decided by the click of a laptop. Good luck girls!
