Saturday was a perfect day for me to meet one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist. Not famialiar with Scott’s work? Well, he’s one of the originators of blogging street style. He wanted to brifge the gap between magazine fashion and street fashion. According to his blog, Schuman’s work has been featured in GQ, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, and Interview; for GQ, Schuman shot and edited his own page for over three years.

In 2009 Scott’s photos were put in book form and published. The first book, The Sartorialist, has sold more than 100,000 copies. On Saturday, Scott came to Parnassus Books in Green Hills talk about photography, blogging and fashion. He then signed copies of his new book, The Sartorialist: Closer for his lovely and well dressed fans.

Scott’s new book is a great purchase for a fashionable friend on your Christmas list, Make sure to buy local and support a local bookstore. Parnassus Books is super fly!
