Ciara, one of People Magazine’s Most Beautiful People 2011

First up, “CONGRATULATIONS!” are due to Ciara and her NEW fiance, producer/rapper Future (Nayvadius Wilburn). Future proposed to Ciara on her birthday with a 15 carat emerald cut diamond ring! Yes, girl, seems that you’ve found a good one. Ciara has had a couple public relationships (BowWow and 50Cent) and suffered heartbreak, so it’s nice to see her with someone who makes her happy.

In celebration of her birthday, engagement, and becuase ya’ll know she’s my girl crush, I thought we’d take a look at Miss Ciara’s style transformation. Whew, she’s come a LONG WAY!

Ciara hit the scene in 2004 as she was looking for the “Goodies”. Rocking wrong for you auburn hair but awesome dance moves, we knew Ciara was here to stay. Through 5 albums, countless award nominations (including 5 Grammy nods), and sever double & triple platinum singles, we saw Ciara go from a young street-wise dancer, to a mature modelesque powerhouse.

Ciara’s fashion became quite fashion forward

 In 2010-2011 she was sponsored by Adidas and became a muse for Givenchy! We started seeing Ciara on the front rows of fashion shows and doing magazine covers. Her body is something of envy and she can wear virtually any look. I can see why brands scramble to get her in their clothes. Ciara does well on red carpet and in candid shots. She doesn’t seem to have one select stylist but she’s been styled by Olori Swank, Mariell Heann, Wouri Vice, Christopher Mannor, and Ricardo Ticshi.

Most recently, Ciara SHUT IT DOWN at Paris Fashion Week. Every day Ciara rocked looks from Givenchy, Balmain, Chanel, and others – but in her street savvy way. At 28 years old, Ciara knows what works for her body and knows every outfit doesn’t ahve to bare her belly or be ultra short.

I’m excited to see how she’ll transform with the onset of wedding planning. She’s going to be walking plenty more red carpets this year as she’s been nominated for an American Music Award and a Soul Train Music Award. Keep up the good and fashionable work!
