MY STYLE: Winter Workwear Wonderful

Coat – Avenue (similar), Shirt – Target, Skirt – Goodwill, and Boots – Jessica London.
Today I share one of my favorite looks to wear to work. Like most fashion bloggers, I lead a double life. I work a deskjob during the day and blog during the night. Often I have to have a look that can double as functional for the office and FAB for an after 5pm event. This wonderful layered look is one I wear during the winter. Check it out the details below:

First, can we give a round of applause to my photographer, Toni Denisa?! GEESH! I just give her the locale and her eye just finds the awesomeness. This set of photos were shot at the Nashville Farmer’s Market and Bicentennial Mall. Over the next couple weeks, you’ll my looks be enhance by Nashville’s wonderful skyline and gorgeous greenery.

I love layers! I hate big bulky clothing but give me thin layers that I can rearrange through the day and I’m in love. This look is compiled from items I’ve had in my closet for years.

This wonderfully warm, yet lightweight coat, was purchased from the Avenue. It’s a peacoat/trench mix that so fashionably convertible. The suede skirt was a STEAL at the Goodwill. I actually purchased two suede skirts for less than $30. I’ve had this skirt for about 5 years. Of course, these boots, gifted to me from my mom, are super cozy and plenty warm. Find a similar pair at Jessica London (wide with AND wide calf).

Turtlenecks are totally my fave! I have one in several staple colors and wear them ALL THE TIME! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen this one before. No worries – you can do it too! This sleek, lightweight look works well in office buildings that are either too hot or too cold (that’s why I wore the scarf).  I’m totally in love with this look!

STYLE TIP: Step out of the box – wear an item you wouldn’t normally wear with something you wouldn’t wear it with.
