Good Morning My Fashionable Friends!
It’s Friday, which means it’s time for the Fashion Forum Question. Actually this is a combination of questions that come from reader emails and questions from friends – “How can I enhance my personal style even though I’m on a budget?” This is a good question, because the economy is very tight! Companies are shutting down and people are losing their homes, many more young fashionistas are moving away from the high-end price tags from big name designers and looking to make their fashion mark with unique details.
First up, you can up your style equation by adding a warm and comfortable cashmere wrap. As the pictures indicate above, you can style your wrap any way you like, and it’s highly functional. You can wear them in the winter spring and fall, especially if you are cold natured. Tie it any way you like or drape it over your shoulders, making sure to find an eye catching color to draw attention to this awesome find. The other great element of a wrap is it’s affordability – from $30 – $100, you can get a wrap that expresses you individual style.

Alright ladies, if you want to get the guys looking (and you know you do) ditch the regular stockings or opaque tights and go for the lace stockings and textured tights. This element will lift you outfit to a whole new level. Plus, as I stated MEN LOVE LACE/FISHNET/PATTERNED tights. I don’t know what it is, but I get so much attention when I don my fab tights. To take away from the hoe effect, lady it up with a pencil skirt and tall boots or a wrap dress and heels. Once again, this is an inexpensive element to add to your wardrobe, $5 – $15 per pair, available at most clothing and department stores.
I’m giving you the inside scoop on one of the hottest trends, angel wing accessories. Rihanna is a fan of this highly fashionable trend. Earrings and necklaces are way to enhance a regular work outfit. I know it’s cold and dreary outside, especially in Nashville, so wearing that regular sweater-set and spicing it up with some individualized jewelry will put you ahead of the crowd. Cheaper versions of this style can be found online and at bargain retailers like Claire’s and Icing.

Lastly, don’t forget a very nice watch. I am a watch collector, expensive and inexpensive, fashionable or trendy. An interesting watch can become a conversation piece in casual settings. I love to buy inexpensive watches from Target, TJMaxx, and Marshall’s. I also order hard to find designs (like the hip Casio G-Shock) from www.Amazon.com.
I hope this helps all of my fashionable friends on a budget. Tell me how you update your style, on a budget, in the COMMENTS section.
