Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite designers because what he creates is easily translated to the real-world. His MARC by Marc Jacobs line is even more real-world ready. As you can see you can take the look off the model and step out on the town.

MARC by Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection has received some ridicule from the public. Buyers are reporting that the looks are too ‘thrift store’ and not as ‘cutting edge’. I feel that the line is reflective of these trying economic times. That a fashionable lady can mix hi/lo items and come out looking great.

Below are some of my favorite look from the show. Check the presence of super-layered tights, architectural silhouettes, and cinched defined waists.
