I know we blog about pumps and sandals but I love a good pair of kicks. That’s why I was so happy to hear about the new event called Sneakers and Speakers, June 4, 2011, at PhatKaps boutique. This event will pair sneaker heads, hip hop heads, b-boys, and urban fashionistas together for music and engaging sneaker culture.

Sneaker culture is big business online and around the world. Attaining the hottest kicks is more than a hobby to many sneaker enthusiasts. An event will bring together kick collectors from around the state. There will be trading tables, sales, and a raffle for an several pairs of Michael Jordan True Blue III’s (shown below).

There will be performances all day by upcoming hip-hop artists Dee Godz, Willie Da Kid, Matic Lee, and Forte Bowie. Make sure to RSVP on Facebook by entering Sneaker and Speakers in the Facebook searchbox.
