Fab Girl Sabrina turned me on this awesome string duo via tumblr. The group is named Charly & Marguax. They live in Boston, they are classically trained string players (violin and viola), and eternally stylish.  After watching their string version of Beyonce’s 1+1 via Youtube, I was amazed.I knew I needed to let my fab fashionistas hear their awesome talent.

Charly & Margaux have an uncanny ability to pick up the nuances of the songs you sing along to everyday. With melodies that rise and fall just as the vocalist’s would, the duo take their listeners on a musical journey that only enhances your favorite tune. In addition to Beyonce, they’ve cover Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, Chris Brown’s Deuces, and Kanye West’s All of the Lights – after listening to their versions, you’ll surely love these song’s even more!

Not only are they musically inclined, each young lady practices other arts. Charly (the blond) is a talented painter and Margaux is a jewelry maker. To finance their project, Laced, an all string album due out this Fall, the ladies sold pieces of their artwork as well as jewelry. It was an great endeavor that helped the duo raise more than $5000 for their new album.
