The third annual Emerald City fashion comes back to Nashville on Saturday, October 6, at Maxwell House Hotel, 3p-6p. The fashion benefits All the King’s Men youth mentoring program: “All The Kings Men is a faith based organization that has been called to empower young black males. By faith we believe our young boys will grow into caring and responsible young adults, humble fathers, and great leaders of the world.”
Each year, the organization chooses a Nashville based designer to feature looks from their collection. In 2010, the designer was Charles Lord (check out the event review here) this year it’s plus-size designer Janice Williams.
Janice is the designer for J. Michelle designs which showcases flattering looks for full-figured women. Janice is a graduate of O’more College and currently lives in Nashville. She has studied in New York under designers Kay Unger and David Rodriguez. I’ve seen Janice’s designs up close and I know you will be in for a treat!
