I realized I hadn’t posted a Fab Juicing recipe in WEEKS! Wow! I’ve been ultra busy, but now that I’m slowed down, I’ve added juicing and smoothie making back to the mix.
I can’t say I came up with this recipe on my own, but I made it my own by adding something special. Anyway, I received my inspiration from one of my favorite YouTube families – It’s Judy’s Life, specifically her ultra cute, ultra healthy hubby Benji (@BenjiManTV). He makes green smoothies every morning and even has their 1 year old daughter addicted.
Benji did something I’d never done with a smoothie, add WHOLE SLICES of lemon. This adds a new wow FRESH factor to smoothie life. So many times we think smoothies should be creamy (like a milkshake) but the act of adding fresh fruits and substituting your cream base (yogurt, dairy milk, soy milk, or almond milk) for water makes your smoothie more fresh. More like a drink and less like a dessert. It’s also a great way to get your daily serving of water.
Below is the recipe for the FRESHEST tasting green smoothie you’ll ever drink:
1 handful of baby spinach
1 cup of green grapes
3 slices of lemon (w/skin)
1 banana (my idea!)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ice
Blend well in a regular blender. Enjoy!
