I’m a fan of a simple look. Minimal as some might say. As much as bells, whistles, gold, and glitter excite me, the ease of pulling together a simple three piece look is just as enchanting. The look, above is one of my current faves. Dress, tights, boots, and a necklace – out the door.

I scored this dress from Avenue, for $15 on sale after Christmas. The cotton blend dress has the perfect a-line fit and its super comfortable. A dress with this shape compliments pear-shaped ladies, like myself.  My boots, a gift from my stylish mom, have been getting TONS of wear this winter. I love a short flat bootie and they go with tons of looks.

To bring a bit of pizzazz I added this vintage (might be antique) jeweled necklace. I scored this statement piece from a flea market in Virginia Beach. I’ve had it for years and it still gets tons of compliments.

See, it doesn’t take much to dress well. A couple pieces and you are on your way. This whole look was less than $100.
