MY STYLE: Poncho Perfection

You ever put an outfit together and realize, “Man, I wanna wear this outfit ALL THE TIME!”? Well, that’s how I felt when I assembled this look. It’s such an on trend, yet comfy look. It’s great for shopping and travel. I’m just saying, if you see me in real life, I’ll probably be wearing this look. Let’s get into the details:

So, I’ve never been one for ponchos, but I’ve loved them on others. I’m not one to shy away from a trend, but sometimes it take me some time to figure out how to make a look work for me. That’s why I tell my personal style clients to try on clothes, mess around with the item, getting dressed isn’t always as easy as it looks.

For me, wearing a poncho never worked for me because it left me looking shapeless and baggy. This poncho, thrifted from a friend’s closet, had a bit more structure to start with. It’s also reversible, so you’ll see this again *insert smiley-face emoji*. I realized adding a belt to the look made it ALL better! Plus, it’s so stylish! I purchased this belt from Torrid, it gets alot of airtime.

Overall, I’m loving this look. Like I said, it was so EASY and comfortable. I’m definitely rocking this again. Outfit details below.
