It happens to every blogger who’s been putting in that good work. You photos are great, you’ve been posting on your site consistently, and your social media following is rising organically. Then, you get an email from the brand that you’ve been stalking! Yes! If you remember from my ‘Blogging While Broke‘ post, most bloggers barely make enough to pay for daily cup of coffee. So, when a brand reaches out to you, ANY BRAND, you get hype!
But then, they send you that . . . questionnaire. You start answering the question and they ask about your NUMBERS:
You answer truthfully because that’s what a real businessperson does. If you are like me you get a little nervous before sending that response email. The question lingers in the air; what if my numbers aren’t good enough? Continue reading “#Bloggerlife: The numbers matter, but so does your impact!”

I know this title is a bit awkward but I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. This is, like, my 12th year blogging. I’ve had some HUGE successes and I’ve had plenty valleys. I’ve always called myself a fashion blogger, but I’ve often been asked why don’t I concentrate my efforts on being a PLUS- SIZE BLOGGER. And, that always gets me to thinking about the importance or non-importance of niche blogging.

I’ve officially completed two weeks of my #40DayDetox. Last week I gave you the details on how to start your own 40 Day Detox. It’s safe to say that the Frist Museum is one of my favorite places in Nashville. So, when the team invited to get a preview of the new Chaos and Awe Exhibit I was more than hype to take a visit!
Chaos and Awe: Painting for the 21st Century
Located in the Ingram Gallery, downstairs, the Chaos and Awe Exhibit is open to the public from now until September 16th, 2018. From the museum’s website, the Exhibit is described as,
“… a sweeping survey of contemporary art from around the world, celebrates paint’s capacity to weave together images of physical reality, memories, emotions, and the virtual world”
Y’all, you gonna feel all the emotions and take all the selfies in front of these amazing and thought provoking selections.

This week’s motivation post is coming a bit late in the week, but after a recent visit with my therapist (yeah girl, I got a therapist. She’s bomb!), I had to process what she told me. If you know me in real life, you know I’m not really emotional. Well, I’m not outwardly emotional. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have emotions. Oh, I have plenty. But, as I work with my therapist, I’m learning that it’s OK to let some of them show. Why?
