It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s my birthday! June 14th, God decided I should come to this world, and all the angels flapped their wings with glee. Obviously, a star was born! LOL! Naw, but I’m one of the biggest celebrators of birthdays and mine is no exception. Of course, I had to take a fun photo shoot to celebrate the big day. Take a look:

This year, I wanted to keep it simple because I have a bunch of travel to do this month. So, when I saw this easy swing dress on ASOS.com, I had to purchase it. I’m saying, this is my new favorite dress and I’m gonna wear it all summer long. Actually, ASOS has this dress in pink so you know I’m gonna get that one too.

Let’s talk about my new hair, yes girl, get into it! This crochet braid technique, using Marley hair was way more easy than it looks. I decided to add a bit of purple for the festivities. I don’t usually add color to my natural hair, but adding colored extensions is an easy way to add a bit of fun to the mix. I’m in love with this look, and like I said before, I shall be rocking this all summer.

Now, I had to step my game up with my shoes this year. I went back & forth trying to decide if I should purchase these Adidas Superstars. I’ve wanted these shoes since I was a little girl. It’s kinda weird when you are an adult who can purchase what they want. So, I did it, my special birthday gift to myself and an excellent addition to my sneaker collection.
