MY LIFE: Follow me to the Iroquois Steeplechase 2017

Hey guys! I’m back with another Youtube video! This week, follow me to the 76th Annual Iroquois Steeplechase.  Held on the second Saturday in May, the TN Steeplechase (for short) is ‘Nashville’s Rite of Spring’. It’s our Derby Day and it’s filled with amazing fashion, delicious food, and amazing tailgates. More than 25,000 people attend the event and, oh yeah, there’s HORSES!

I was hired by the Davis Finn Group to be on the social media team for the day. My job, run the TN Steeplechase Instagram account, engage with attendees, and create quality content. I had so much fun connecting with the fun guests, snapping great pics, and adding to the online conversation. I took some time to give you some Vlog action too. Oh yeah guys, I got to drive a GOLF CART for the first time and I’d have to say, “GOLF CART IS LIFE!”

The weather couldn’t be more perfect. I was a bit worried, because the previous day was super rainy. As soon as we got to Percy Warner Park, we were greeted with lush green fields, gorgeous blue skies, and horses that were ready to race. The social media team got VIP treatment as we had access to the finish line, the shoppes, and the tailgating area. Take a look at the video below for some behind-the-scenes footage of my day.

I was super tired, but I had so much fun! I’d attended the TN Steeplechase previously, but didn’t have as much fun as I had this time. The vibe was so fun (and bougie high class) that I’d be happy to bring some friends, set up a tent to tailgate, and act like I’m paying attention to the race.

Have you attended the DERBY in your city? What was your favorite part of the event? Let me know in the comments section.
