#OOTD: Something Borrowed, Something Blue

You ever have a dress you love so much you want to wear it every day? Yeah, that’s what happened when I purchased this pre-loved dress via one of my favorite plus-size bloggers, Chastity Garner of GarnerStyle. Chastity frequently sell her lovely looks in her online store, Curvy Valentine.

During the Christmas season, I saw this fitted hounds-tooth dress from Ashley Stewart on Chastity’s store and knew I had to have it. Plus, Chastity and I are shaped pretty similar – if it looked good on her, I knew it’d look good on me!

This black & white dress can be paired with so many colors. But when I looked in my closet, I knew wearing these blue suede color-block pumps from Torrid would set the whole look off! I bought these shoes in 2013, but never got a chance to wear them because I broke BOTH feet in the same year. This was actually my first time back in heels in over 8 months.

I love, love, love these shoes, but now they are too big! Losing weight does that. I guess I’ll have to open up an online store too! Everything else in this look are staples from my fall/winter wardrobe: black turtleneck from Target, black opaque tights from Avenue, and jewelry from . . . everywhere.

This was my very first single OOTD post. I love my new photographer, Patrick Webster! Expect more of these posts once a month. I’m excited to share my style with you all! It’s crazy I’ve written this blog for more than five years, and I finally have the nerve to put myself out there. It’s pretty fun though.

I hope you enjoy my borrowed look from Chastity and blue shoes from Torrid!

Sun in my eyes, I thought I was ‘smizing’ I was just frowning! LOL!

Check out last month’s OOTD post featuring fellow blogger, Codie Gentry, and myself for Nashville Style Collective.
