Whew! I truly enjoyed Nashville Fashion Week
2016! All the preparation was well worth it. The culmination of the week’s events is the Nashville Fashion Forward Gala. This is the time when NFW and the Community Foundation take time to honor the people who make fashion happen in the city. From bloggers, to models, and of course designers, these people are the ones who’ve worked hard to make their mark in Nashville.
Award recognitions include the Nashville Style Icon, Fashion Forward, Legacy, Face of Fashion, Rising Star (sponsored by The Mall at Green Hills) and Point of View (sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka). The keynote speaker was newly appointed mayor, Megan Barry, and co-hosted by singer/songwriter/store-owner, Holly Williams.
The event was held at OZ art center. The layout was amazing, just gorgeous. There was a live art installation, live music, and delicious food. Of course, Nashville’s most stylish were in attendance. More than just a fun dance, the Nashville Fashion Forward fund gala helps the philanthropic efforts of adding to the wonderful fashion culture in Nashville. The money raised for the Gala is the reason why we can have a fashion week at all.
Now let’s talk about what I wore! I had to go to my favorite online retailer, Rent The Runway
. I got this asymmetrical Monique Lhuillier dress that I’ve been drooling over for weeks. I just needed something to wear it with. This dress was SO comfortable and IT HAS POCKETS! Listen, when a formal dress has pockets, it’s pretty much a win!

I had to spotlight this cute and sparkly clutch from local retailer, The Closet Experience. It was like having a little piece of art in my hand. Can I wear it to work every day? Oh yeah, my necklace is from walmart! Ye, you read it right, WalMart. I told you, I’m an equal opportunity shopper, anyone can get this work.
Thanks to everyone at Nashville Fashion Week and their partners. The week was phenomenal. I was honored to be Blogger Influencer – being able to bring you scenes from the front row. Let’s do it again next year!
