As you know I’m celebrating HBCU Homecoming week on the blog. Of course in preparation to see old friends and maybe meet the future love of my life, I thought I’d get my face prepared for the occasion. Thanks to the folks at The Body Shop I’ve been using their Natural Tea Tree Oil products. My face care regimen has been stepped up! The Natural Tea Tree Oil line is AMAZING! Let’s get into it:
When I received this box from the good people at The Body Shop, I was skeptical. My skin is SO sensitive – I barely try new products. When I do try new products, I always expect the worse. Not this time. The Natural Tea Tree Oil products are so natural and good for all complexions. The formula was developed more than 20 years ago and works to clear the most blemished skin.
The chemicals in tea tree oil may kill bacteria and fungus, and reduce allergic skin reactions (source). I’ve used tea tree oil in my hair to help with dandruff, but I never thought to use the products on my face. I LOVE the 3-in-1 Wash Scrub & Mask. You can use it as a scrub, a mask, and foaming cleanser. Also, if you are oily, this formula will help mattify your skin! Genius!
The Tea Tree formula is designed to help clear breakouts. And, yes, the claims are true. During my trial, I caught a NASTY pimple situation on my cheek and chin. I have horribly large pores that are prone to getting clogged. The Anti-Imperfection Daily Serum so well and feels featherweight light under make-up. The Daily Serum works to clear blemishes and tone skin. Y’all, it’s like miracle solution.
Of course a Tea Tree Oil Skincare line wouldn’t be complete without actual tea tree oil. The Body shop sells a 15% tea tree oil concentrate that can be used as a spot treatment for hard-to-treat spots and blemishes. It also helps mattify the skin as well. And, it smells so good! It’s like you fell into a minty heavenly bliss. I wouldn’t steer you wrong, you should really try this product.
So, whether you are gearing up for homecoming or just trying to treat you skin right, try The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil Skincare line. Oh yeah, it’s on sale right now! Give it a try! What’s your favorite Body Shop product? Let me know in the comments section.
